Thanks to all my house memebers. Keep up the Chaos!
So you have dared to enter the house of a drow priestess. I am Reddimund, but please call me Redd. Welcome to my humble abode. Please meet the guards at the gate before stepping on to the Castle Grounds. The guards get kinda of edgie if you do not. (Redd gives you an evilly twisted smile).
HOUSE RULES:
1. Never Kill another ICP (In Character Player) unless authorized by the person who invented the character...spells and enchantments can be broken. But to kill or soul snacth is out of the question.
2. PM each other for major ICP player movements. It makes for a more interesting read when we all play together.
3. Try asking permission before playing another player's character, but minor movements are permitted without permission. Heck, what's the sense in forbidding all interaction?
4. Never act out what you think I may want. Unless you are a god, or mind flayer, you have no idea of my wishes.
I love all my members, and I will take a great care to keep them. Even though they have been naughty. Glares at Veldrin. What would a drow house be if the members were all good. Bah! Chaos reigns supreme in My House!
I know exactly how I wish my chaos to flow. And flow it shall!
Make sure you have not missed any posts at the end of Redd's House part 2!!
Veldrin shifted slightly. "Morelinlotaurond," he slowly repeated. And her full name...that did not sound like a drow's name at all. Despite himself, he looked up to her eyes to see how she would react, and so he could study her face.

OCC... this was written by me and DEM... for more info on Wruzrae see House Kilafin- Second house of LE
Tionne walked down the halls of Sorcere, looking for the study of Wruzrae Kilafin. When she reached the door she lightly knocked, knowing mages and their fondness for traps. Wruzrae cursed silently as the knock came to his door. He hated being disturbed, like most wizards, but he knew it was surely something important. Or at least if it was not, someone else was going to be visiting the Abyss. When he opened his door he was surprised to see a priestess standing before him. He quickly bowed and stepped out of her way. She stepped into the room, her ruby eyes looking the mage over and glancing at the piles of books everywhere. "Do you know who I am?"
Wruzrae looked her over quickly. By her robes she was a high priestess--as a matter of fact, very high. He saw the insignia of house Rilynund as well. "Welcome Mistress of Arach-Tinilith," he said, recognizing everything. "Please do come in. I am honored by your visit." This is not good, he thought.
She smiled, mostly just out of courteousness... no mirth was there. "And as the Head Mistress of Arach-Tinilith you know that I over see all the schools... and it recently came to my attention that you are the only teacher left from the new Second House."
"Yes my lady," he answered. "My brother Phaerdax has been called to stay home by Matron Qu'enil. Though I do not know why." Tionne arched her eyebrows and turned her full attention to the male. "Matron Qu'enil... well that explains why she left her classes at Arach-Tinilith. Interesting..." Wruzrae only bowed, not sure what to say. Though, he did wave his hand, and a goblet of wine appeared in it, and he set it on the table before her and gestured for her to sit down. She casted an orison, content the male was not trying to kill her she sat down. "House Kilafin has prospered these last few months... has it not? You competition just falls by the way side and with no loss of life to you... well with the loss of but one life... you become Second House. How very fortunate for you."
"It is Lolth's will," Wruzrae humbly replied.
She smiled coldly at him, "Indeed it is, and Mother Lolth revels in the chaos. I am curious though... Your new Matron is Quite young... how is it that she disposed of her so totally? No blood shed... quite an impressive coup don't you think?" She sipped the wine and looked at him over the rim of the glass.
"The former Matron fell far from Lolth's favor," he replied. "She did not worship Lolth and so Matron Qu'enil disposed of her quickly." Tionne looked surprised, finally some information! "And your new Matron must be firm in her belief... She doesn't even have any children yet."
Wruzrae thought about the note Phaerdax had sent him about the matron's new 'daughter.' No, he would definitely keep that to himself. "As you said yourself, my lady, she is young."
"Indeed... Well send the wishes of House Rilynund to your Matron, from High Priestess Tionne. I will be watching her successes with and eager eye." She stood and placed the glass on the table. "Fine wine... and I will be calling on you again in the future Master Kilafin."
"Of course my lady, as you wish," the wizard said, and he motioned with his hand and opened the door for her. She walked out the door but stopped just on the other side and turned to look at him again. "And you can be sure I will let the Matron of the First House of your families good fortune."
"I am sure she will be delighted," Wruzrae answered with a smile, not wanting to be intimidated by her in the least bit.
"I'm sure she will be... you know Matron Reddimund... another houses good fortune always turns into good fortune for all." She nodded, and turned around, but looked over her shoulder at him one last time... "I’m sure she would" she whispered.
He bowed again and shut his door. He sighed. "I hate women."
She hurried back to Arach-Tinilith to make some preparations. I guess I’ll have to go back to the compound and report this to Matron Redd. Ah well… such is life in the treacherous Underdark.

Hashin agreed to talk the walk. Hashin and Zaera went out of her room and took the walk. Hashin pointed out the way to Zaera. Hashin couldn't get the vision out of his head. It played in his head taunting him over and over again. They finnaly reached them. Hashin introduced himself. "I am Hashin, what is your name?" Starg was weak and couldn't say a word. Khara repield for him, "I am Khara and this is Starg. He was badly hurt by one of yours," Zaera quickly introduced herself. "I am Zaera i really want to help you." Hashin helped Starg stand up straight.

Tracel could not help but smile as he pronounced her name. “Please just call me Tracel. It is a horrible name, I know.”
She noticed that he looked confused about the village she had claimed she was from. She did not want to go into to much detail for she really was not from the village. “Im sorry I thought you would have heard of it. For it was your people who destroyed it. Any ways it is a settlement upon the surface where drow and surface elves lived together peacefully. Yes I know it must sound crazy to you. Really though im finding it hard to understand your ways down here. It is very different, but im sure you do not wish to be bored with my stories,” she said, hoping to change the subject.

Veldrin was shocked that she did not slap him for looking straight into her eyes. But he did not show it, and kept his gaze on hers.
"Yes it sounds indeed absurd," he said, referring to the village. But somehow it seemed so familiar to him, and the drow could not help but think that that was something wiped from his memories. Something else occured to him.
"Yes this place is very different. So why in the Nine Hells are you down here?" he asked.

Tracel shrugged. “As I said my village was pretty much destroyed. And well our kind are not to liked upon the surface. This was the option I took. These are my true roots, I really want to see what my kind are really like. On the surface the drow act so much differently. Maybe you can help me to understand.”
Now Tracel felt she was getting somewhere. This would be a good experience, trying to understand the mind of these evil people.

Veldrin grinned and looked her over. Pretty nice looking, he thought. "Alright," he agreed, "I shall help you. Tell me what you wish to know, my lady," he said, and he motioned for her to follow him, and he lead her to a lounge room where he poured her a drink.

Tracel followed Veldrin to the room and sat down.
“Ok first of all why is everyone here have such an attitude. I mean what kind of military can hold together when every one hates each other. All I have heard from some of the guards is to watch out for certain people. The weapon master being one of the main ones. I mean wouldn’t it seem more appropriate to honor and trust their leader. To loose your honor is to loose your passion in battle. There is no passion for their leaders down here, from what I gather. Every one fights for themselves it seems. Correct me if im wrong, really I have not been down here that long.”
Tracel accepted the drink, but just stared down at it. She did not know what it was, but she did not drink alcohol. To be drunk dimmed her wits, and she could not have that.

Veldrin laughed and sat casually on a chair arm. "Passion? Please. The only passion we have around here is the passion to kill or passion for bedding." He grinned. "Anyways you seem to have answered your own question, even if you do not realise it. Fear is what holds us together and drives us. Fear keeps you alive and it keeps you going. It also lets you band together when you have a common enemy."
He leaned back, legs over one chair arm and his head resting on the other. "What else, drow who isn't a drow?"

Slowly awearness came to her and slowly hunger forced her eyes to open. She sat up on the small bed, rubing the sleep from her face. Hungry and needing to walk off the stiffness in her legs she left the room just as she had found it. Walking carefully down the twisting halls and the passing the darkened doorways she had to ask four times for directions to the kitchen. And passed it by twice. Finaly making it inside she had the cooks make her something small to eat. She sat there just waiting for her food and hoped that Lt. Nadzar didn't try looking for her now.

After he kissed her;Vani glared after Veldrin , figuring he couldn't see her and made her way back towards the kitchen. The surface elf was feeling quite hungry.
Suddenly, she heard Mistress Saeliira's voice in her head and she stopped dead in her tracks. Vanistrael! Mistress saeliira?! Vanistrael asked hesitantly. Yes Vani, I felt you needed me and so I "came." What is it you need of me? Saeliira responded .
Oh milady! You shall never guess what's happened since we last parted! I have found out that I am with child, although it might turn out children...The worst part is I am due very soon.. Vani waited anxiously for her former Mistress to comment. At last she replied. Well.. Are you going to keep them then? No.. Not with me.. Vani said, twisting her hands as she leaned inconspiciously against the walls. Vanistrael. I want them. I will take them to the surface with me, when I visit it next.. However, my next visit will not be for awhile. It seems I have been made guildmistress in Miladies absences. But I can take them, don't worry. First though.. I have felt a presence lately in the locket and it is not yours.. Where is it? and How did it get into the enitity's grasp?"Vani sounded pained. My master has it. he must have found it during our.. Our last visit together. But thats not the worst! he knows that you gave it to me! Don't worry Vani. Even if Master Veldrin does figure out how to use it, all he will get is me. Worry not my dear: I can handle him!
There was a silence, and quickly, Saeliira said. I must leave you now. I will check on you later to see how you are progressing.Mental connection severed, Vani padded forwards to the kitchen stepping inside and looking around with smouldering golden eyes. She was still angry at Veldrin for taking her locket.

Ryld was feeling rather perturbed that Redd let Orinis and his companions free so easily. So he just stood in the dungeon staring as Orinis left. Xsa, she is getting much too soft. Any of the ambitious priestesses could easily assinate her to steal her title right now... Ryld straightened and looked at Redd with a frown.
Redd straightened her back and stood as tall as her small frame would allow. She knew Ryld would not be happy with her decision to let the mercenary go. However, heer reasons were political, so to speak. And what would he know of such things. She already felt distant from him, and now this was just ganna make things worse. "Ryld, I feel things are not working between us.”
Ryld looked around, feeling very uncomfortable talking about such a subject in front of Nadzar... or anybody else for that matter. "Redd, can we talk about this somewhere else." Ryld motionned towards the staircase leading out of the dungeons.
Redd turne to hin and saw the scowl upon his face. "Look, I know what you are thinking. But, it is not what you think. I had to let him go. He will not be a nuissance to this house ever again. Infact he will be one of or biggest assets. You may speak freely."
Ryld scoffed. "I may speak freely? I have always done so. You are being too weak, other females will see it and like the bunch of scavengers they are they will take advantage of it."
Redd did indeed feel weak. If he noticed it, forsure the others noticed it too. She knew why too. Every time she was with child she would get these godaweful mood swings. Some extremely cruel others extremely *cough* good *cough*. But she could not tell him that. He already disapproved of her pregnancy. Mentioning it would do nothing to the situation. "Ryld, I understand that they may think to usurp me. That is something I must deal with daily. But, never you fear my Patron. They will not catch me slipping that far away from my guard."
Ryld took a step forward closing the small gap between them "It's not just that Redd, all of your decisions lately have been... irrational."
Redd felt like she should reprimand him for his boldness, however, she would not. She could not. She was begininng too think this whole pregnancy thing was a mistake. It made her feelings be at odds with her rational thought.
"You know, you just may be correct. I have been out of sorts for some time now. I was crazed for want of a noble child. And now that i am to have one, I have become the thing that I have accused my member of being. Weak!"
Redd balked at her own words. To admit it seemed too much of a defeat. "Lets us go from this dank place. It depresses me."
She’s running away from her problems instead of fixing them, he thought. His greatsword glowed a faint red in its scabbard, mimicking his slight frustration over the whole matter. “Very well.” He said with no a hint of disappointment in his voice. I’m going to have to do something about this.
They left the dungeons, in route to her bedchambers she ordered a servant to bring her dinner to her room.

Slink sighed and looked around. It had been a few hours since they had arrived, and he had not eaten, slept, or, really done anything since he'd returned. He could see the hunger and weary that he was feeling in Rurik as well, though Rurik seemed more apt to handle it. After all, Slink had just restarted eating and sleeping. He imagined Rurik had plenty of self-disciplining in that matter. Regardless, he was famished and was sure Rurik needed nourishment as well.
Slink called a servant over and ordered him to bring them some dinner. He looked over at Talice, who didn't seem to have gotten better or worse.
I wonder what LaLaranthia is doing right now... he thought. Then, however, he shuddered. He knew well how LaLa liked to pass her time... though he was still ignorant in the developement between her and Nadzar. Well, maybe she'll come down and see us... if she knows we're back.

OOC: ooo this is a long one.... and don't feel bad Zandel, not everyone is on the list that is supposed to be
Zaera and Hashin left her room and went down to the front gates. She stopped and looked at the guards. "Let us back in when we get back, okay?" she said with a smile. Her and Hashin both towered over the guards. With a tip of her hat, her and Hashin walked out the gates. Zaera hadn't been out of Redd's house for awhile, but she knew most of the streets. She knew all of the alleys and side streets though, having had to hide in them herself. Following Hashin directions, they were able to find the injured mage.
They were all introduced, but Zaera felt a bit occward. The comment about 'one of your kind' had bothered her a bit. She'd never been ashamed of being a drow before. In fact, she'd never really thought about it much either. That's what she was, but now it made her wonder.
Zaera had Hashin put Starg down, thinking that standing might be a bit much for him right now. She looked at him and then stopped. "He already been healed. Who did this? It wouldn't have been the other drow.."
"I did," Khara said, a bit worried.
"Oh," Zaera said looking over at her. She had seen humans before, but she had never really talked to one before. "You're a cleric?"
"Yes," Khara said glaring at the drow. She wasn't overly fond her Starg, but she thought that she could trust him more than these two drow. "I am a cleric of Lathlander," she finished.
Zaera's eyes grew large. "You mean a surface god? Of . ..of the sun?!" she said, a bit scared at the idea. She pulled her hat off and over her face to cover her eyes from any beams of light that might happen to be sent at her. For a brief moment, she wondered if the gods light would burn her. Why am I worrying? she thought meekly. I'm not a vampire. I been on the surface once...
Khara almost laughed. Seeing the unusually tall drow cowar like that made her wonder if she was over reacting. "Starg still needs more healing and I need to pray a bit before I can do any more," she said. "I won't use my clerical abilities against you...unless you give me reason to."
Zaera nodded and healed Starg. His wounds closed up and he was as good as new, physically at least.
Khara shuddered as Zaera cast her spells. She realized that she must be a preistess of Lloth. How was this ever going to work?
Zaera stood up. "Well, I guess you're going to need a place to stay for now. A human, never mind a cleric of Lathlander, can't go wandering the streets by herself," Zaera said. "I guess that means you and Starg are going to have to come back with me to Redd's house."
"What!?" Khara said, "We can't just going walking up and into Redd's house! Starg was tortured and left for dead last time he tried it." She cringed at the thought.
"I suppose you're right," Zaera said thoughtfully. "Now, what can we do about that?" She looked at Khara, and then looked at her hat. She twirled it around on her finger. Then she looked at Khara again. "I know!" she said suddenly, making Khara jump. Then she lowered her voice, not wanting to attract attention to the alley. "You and Starg and go in my hat. It's a hat of holding, so there's lots of room. Then I can bring you inside." Zaera smiled, quite pleased with the idea.
"What?!" Khara said once again, totally shocked. "How do I know that thing is safe? How do I know that I won't sufficate? How do I know you won't eat me once we get in? How do I know I can trust you?"
It was Zaera's turn to be shocked. "Why would I ever want to eat you?" she said with a sick look on her face. "You can't stay out here, anyway, but if you need some proof that my hat is safe I'll show you." Zaera swung the hat around to trap some air in it, then stuck her head inside. After a few moments she pulled the hat off.
Khara sighed. "I guess I'm going to have to trust you, but what are we going to do once we're inside."
"I'll think of something," Zaera said as she layed the hat down on the ground and(gently as they could) helped Hashin shove Starg in it.
Khara took a deep breath and crawled in the hat. It was a really odd feeling, but at least she could breath.
Zaera put on the hat and smiled at Hashin. "Mission accomplished. Lets go home."
They made their way back to Redd's house. When they reached the gates, they were let in without question. They hadn't been gone that long. The two of them went straight to Zaera's room. When they got there, Zaera closed the door and put a few more protective traps on it. Then she put the hat down on the floor, and told Khara to come out with Starg.
Khara was sick from the trip, but managed to pull Starg out. Then she sat down on the floor. She had had a hard couple of days.
Zaera was also exausted. Khara wasn't the only one who had had a tiring day. With the last bit of her energy, she summoned two more beds. Then she flopped on her own bed with a last, "We should all get some sleep. Good night..."

Hashin always felling more comfortable with Zaera and went to sleep on her bed. Hashin didn't think Zaera felt comfortalbe so he slept on the very opposite side to give her a little comfort.
Starg immediatly fell asleep, but for Khara she had a hard time sleeping. Hashin did sleeo to well himself. When Khara finally went to sleep Hashin went to Zaera's desk and started on some invetion that he had wanted to make. He started on it and finnlay finished it. From being so exhausted Hashin went to sleep right there.

"What do you think is taking the Matron so long?" Rurik asked Slink quietly, while they ate their well-deserved meal. Slink swollowed his latest bite before answering.
"I truely have no idea. She is Matron after all, and I'm sure she's busy," he replied. Rurik sighed, going back to his food. You need to calm down, he quietly scolded himself. He was becoming impatient with his freedom at hand, and was getting more frusterated with every minute that passed without the Matron showing up. But he was a diciplined man, and would wait.

A tall, lithe, form walks up to the gates of the greatest house of the city. Her long white hair cascades down over her shoulders. Under closer inspection under her plain dress, robes of a high priestess show. The guards halt her "State your name and business,"
"You fools, I wish to join this house, is that not obvious?" she asks, with a smile reminiscent of a certain mercenary leader, they hold her up for a second longer. They lead her off to a waiting room while a servant runs off to find the matron.

Tracel raised an eyebrow at Veldrin's comment on drow who isn’t a drow. She realized he was probably referring to the fact that she was surface born.
Tracel stared down at the ground and sighed. “I just cant see what the point of a life is, without having someone to live that life for,” she frowned. “Someone other then yourself.”
Tracel stood up suddenly. “Well thank you for your time Veldrin, and um it was nice meeting you but really I should be going now.”
*********
LaLa rolled over in her bed. She couldn’t take it any longer. She had to find out if Tracel was correct, and the human that had entered the house was Slink.
LaLa jumped up and ran out of her room. She went to one of the audience chambers, and sure enough there stood Slink and Rurik.
LaLa did not even notice the two drow who sat in the room, she was to excited to see Slink. She ran over and jumped up into his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his back. She gave him a kiss on his lips, that obviously surprised him. “I missed you so much Slink. Oh and by the way, thanks for saying goodbye,” she added with a wink.

Slink almost fell backwards when LaLa jumped up onto him. He but his hands on her lower back to support her and ignored the awkward glance from Rurik. He thought back to before they had left for the mission. "Didn't I say we were leaving? I was sure I did..." he said.
After that, he remembered. Slink and Rurik had met LaLa at Honglath's room, and LaLa ended up crying back to her room before Slink could say anything. Why was it... because Veldrin was dead? Yes, that was it. No matter... it was over and done, and obviously LaLa was feeling better now.
"Piece of cake, if you're wondering." Slink said. LaLa looked at him, cocking her head to one side. "The mission. It was easy. Right, Rurik?" he looked over at the other human, who's eyes flicked back and forth before a meager "yes" was emitted from his mouth, and he smiled.
Slink looked back to LaLa. "See? We're fine. It's good to see you too, LaLaranthia."

LaLa slid down from Slink and walked over to Rurik, giving him a hug. He stared at her strangely, but she just giggled.
LaLa walked back over to Slink and put her arms around his waist, staring up to him. “I was fully confident that you could handle yourself Slink. I just wasn’t sure if you would ever return. Besides the thought of never seeing you again, was a terribly dreadful one.”

Slink narrowed his eyes and smirked, almost in an amazed expression. "Why wouldn't I come back? I have you here, along with..." Slink thought hard about anyone else in the house he'd befriended, other than her and Rurik, who was with him anyways. "Well, I have you here to come back to." he concluded, and LaLa laughed. "Now," He sighed, "we just have to wait for Matron Reddimund to find time in her busy schedule to see us."

LaLa was about to start in on the gossip of the Matron Mother, mostly the Veldrin pregnancy thing, when she felt the presence of someone else in the room. She turned around and noticed Gael and Talice sitting, staring at them.
LaLa turned around quickly and looked at Slink, wide eyed, with one of her usual goofy faces. Just to say, why the heck didn’t you tell me we weren’t alone.
Slink just had the look as if he was trying not to laugh.
“Well now since I see you two have business to take care of, I will leave you to that.” She said loud enough for everyone to hear. She then leaned close to Slink. “Come see me when you are finished,” she whispered in his ear.
With that LaLa turned and skipped out of the room.

"There is no vithing way that I am being kept out of that room!" Vyxyn yelled, deciding that she'd had enough of tears. "I have channeled the power of Lloth, and I claim it yet again. You want chaos?" Vyxyn screamed to the diety who had destroyed her soul. "Chaos comes from love, you foul creature of the Abyss. Broken hearts are the worst tearing of universal fabric, my dark Queen, and I demand that this door open! " Vyxyn struck the door with her fist, ignoring the burning sensation on her fist, and pounded until electric fire sparked from her palm. Allowing the pain to turn to rage, she slammed again and again into the enchanted door until it could not stand beneath the full onslaught of her power.
The door fell
hit the floor
a cry
she ran
She ran to him, sobbing, and tears clouded the bloody vision of her love as she fell at his torn and battered body. "Honglath," she cried, "I'm here. I got past the door." He looked at her in disbelief, unable to understand how Vyxyn was able to break the enchantment. "Lloth's favor has fallen from the Matron," she whispered. "She no longer receives the power to hold us back." Vyxyn took Honglath's red stained hair in her fingers, weeping for the locks that were once white as snow. She caressed his face, carefully avoiding the scratches and cuts. "My poor, mutilated heretic," she said. "If I could lift you, I would. If I knew how to open a portal I would carry you far from here...far from anyplace we've ever known. You don't deserve to die here, like this."
"You have no healing magic?" he gasped as he clutched her hand weakly.
She shook her head. "The fates have seen fit to take all goodly power from me, in some ironic twist, and all I can do is destroy." Vyxyn put her finger to Honglath's lips, then, and tore some of her dress into strips. She sponged what blood she could from his back and face, and bound his wound to the best of her ability. "No more words," she told him, kissing his forehead. "If this is the end, I just want to feel your heart beating next to mine."
Slowly, with his last bit of strength, Honglath wrapped Vyxyn in his arms and there they lay, waiting for the innevitable.
