Re: If Hollywood ever makes a film about Drizzt, what would
Voting for which one was a tough decision. I think it would make a great anime, and parts of it just seemed like it would be a better dark and brooding film. Something fun like the Princess Bride would have been nice too etc. but I feel that with so much action and such a full and rich story (with LOTS of parallels with J.R.R. Tolken) seems like it needs lots of time, computer animation, and more than one long movie to encompass it.
Re: If Hollywood ever makes a film about Drizzt, what would
Question: Which mortal entity can play Drizzt to his full potential?
<br />
<br />
Answer: No one.
<br />
<br />
Although I would advocate a Drizzt film a la The Matrix.
Re: If Hollywood ever makes a film about Drizzt, what would
Don''t forget the action, these are extremely crucial. In an epic such as Lord of the Rings, individual talents do not stand out as such.
<br />
<br />
Drizzt, and Artemis Entreri are the Realms'' greatest fighters, thus it should be a film a la The Matrix.
Re: If Hollywood ever makes a film about Drizzt, what would
Drizzt novels are almost always accompanied by introspection and angst. The combat sequences are exemplary, the detail and the action!
<br />
<br />
It is also has a story driven plot, and is epic.
<br />
<br />
Thus... a film a la brooding, noir, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
If Hollywood ever makes a film about Drizzt, what would you
i would like it to be an epic. i also think that instead of using purple makeup, the drow should be black people. i mean Salvatore should be the final judge of course, but he is the one who said they are "ebon" skinned. ebon is brown...
<br />
will smith should be Zaknefain. Halle berry, malice. Drizzt, i dont know...
Re: If Hollywood ever makes a film about Drizzt, what would
Only an epic? C''mon you''re all biased!<br />
<br />
No way would they find real-life actors as dextrous, intelligent, and handsome/beautiful as in the novels.
Re: If Hollywood ever makes a film about Drizzt, what would
It''d be pretty cool (in my own humble opinion) that "The Crystal Shard" or something would make a pretty good film. It would need to be along the lines of LotR though, serious, but w/ a wee bit of humor thrown in here and there. It wouldn''t be cool as a anime show though. Some books are better off live action then fantasy, as LotR proved!
Re: If Hollywood ever makes a film about Drizzt, what would
It should be anime but still dark and creepy-like any one who is willing to argue otherwise... i will find out where you live, come to your house in the night, shave your head, dye your eyebrows green, and use a sharpie marker to write "empty" upon your newly obtained jarl-do.*giggle* anyways... something can be anime and still epic, or funny, or dark. like, has anyone seen any "samuri X" movies? if you like drizzt you reeeeeaaaaaly should rent some or some thing, even if you don''t like anime. the main character ,"kenshin", is a unmatched swordsman w/ purple eyes and a split-personality. (basiclly a japanese, historical fiction drizzt) Any of the "samuri X" movies would be a perfect example of what a drizzt movie should be like. Well in my opinion anyway, and if you don''t agree... kiss your dignity good-bye!!!!!
Re: If Hollywood ever makes a film about Drizzt, what would
I think an anime/computer animated style, (like Final Fantasy: Advent Children,) is more practicle. No actor would be able to match the image set by Todd Lockwood.
