Drizzt is lovely.
He's a warrior and everything, but still, he's tremendously cute from time to time. Some times, you feel like pinching his cheeks.

However, as lovely as he is, he is sometimes too plain. I mean, how many definitions of righteous hero can you make?
Maybe that's why I feel that I'm slowly drifting towards Entreri instead. His character has so much more depths to it, he's so complex that you can actually feel him, try to understand him and all. All the while, Drizzt remains being... just lovely.

Re: What would it take for you to "fall in love" with Drizzt
I've read each new Drizzt book as it's come out. I never stopped loving the world of Drizzt or the character! In fact, my husband picked up Exile day before yesterday, having forgotten 6how good t3he series was. He said to himself that he didn't see the draw in the stories, couldn't remember why he liked them in the first place. It is true the memory can play tricks on a person. Since that time day before yesterday he is already almost finished with the novel again. He remarked that R. A. Salvatore is such a good writer that he can hardly bring himself to put down the book even when he reaches a stopping point! So it turns out, he is remembering his old love for the series. :)

Honestly, I felt I had to pick the last option. Its not just the way I felt about the last book but I just feel the 'love' disappearing. It's often happens with me, I get obsessed with something then it dies out and I move on to something else...<p>

I dunno maybe if an absolutely amazing book came out I might reawaken my obsession, but for now, I have simply moved on. I will, however, never forget you Drizzt, because of you I have a possible career on my hands (the whole art thing).... thank you.

I've basically moved on from Drizzt, but I'm actually really enjoying the current trilogy. Drizzt may not be changing that much, but the world is.

Whether or not I'll ever love him again is an open question, but his stories still interest me and he will always have a space as one of the first characters I got into it (before Entreri completely shoved him out of my mind).

I used to love him. Now, the way I see it, he's getting really self-righteous, almost to the point of being 'holier-than-thou'. More and more I'm taking Entreri's viewpoint about him.

Drizzt is the very definition of good. Everything he talks about in his quotes is truely awe inspiring for me. Everything he has faced in his life has been hard, but he accomplished the tasks put in front of him. So many doubted his abilities and he proved them wrong! (That includes a god by the way..) He is better than any character from anything. He is truely the SHIT!! Entreri deserves nothing but death, and no one better to deliver than Drizzt.

R.A. Salvatore has a grasp of humanity that we all seldom see. He has portrayed the dark romance of the assassin as well as the humbling and ultimately driven aspects of the paladin mixed togther into the conundrum we call Drizzt.. What is there not to love?

Drizzt Do'Urden and Harry Potter were my first books that got me reading. I love them both! But, when Harry ended, Drizzt kept going.
Mr. Salvatore is a great writer! He makes it feel like I'm fighting along side the Champions of the Hall.
And I am happy to see Drizzt married. He deserves happiness. Especially, with Cattie-brie. She stood beside him when no one else did.

Too bad there aren't any real men like Drizzt Do'Urden, or even Artemis Entreri.

I was there when Drizzt foresakened the drow, and I will be there when he falls! Hopefully, a "LONG" time from now and peacefully.

What would it take?
I had to choose the first option. Drizzt is an amazing character. He is one of the few book characters I'm crushin on.. lol... he is amazing. I agree with firequeen. He deserves to be happy.

Drizzt is great, but i want a new enemy for him
I loved the Art vs Drizzt conflicts and would love to see that kind of thing again. I'm thinking a new character will help show once again how great Drizzt is.
